FARNBOROUGH, England, July 14, 2008 – L-3
WESCAM, a wholly owned subsidiary of L-3 Communications, announced
that its service center in the United Kingdom, the Defence Support
Group (DSG), will be adding additional technology and support capabilities
to better service WESCAM’s customers throughout Europe. The
center’s upgrades include the installation of a collimator
and pixel mapping station, additional infrastructure and staff.
These enhancements will improve the facility’s quick repair-response
and further decrease service turnaround time.
“These additional investments ensure DSG can provide an
expanded level of service to our customers in the U.K. and the
rest of our European customer base,” said Rod Till, director
of customer service for L-3 WESCAM. “This added capability
will ensure higher levels of equipment availability to our end-users
and is a key element of WESCAM’s increased focus on customer
satisfaction and support.”
DSG (formally ABRO) provides ongoing maintenance and support for
WESCAM’s growing MX™-Series of electro-optical and

maintenance facilities, qualified technicians and on-site service.
WESCAM has created a visible international service footprint with
customer support centers strategically located in Cheltenham, U.K.;
Telford, U.K.; Cairns, Australia; Kamakura, Japan; Santa Rosa,
